About Me
I’m Dr. Rushia Butler, a dedicated family and community physician with over two decades of experience. I believe that empowering individuals to take charge of their health creates stronger families and healthier communities. I love working closely with my patients, teaching them the basics of living their best life and encouraging them to pass that knowledge along to others. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned my medical degree from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University. I went on to finish my family medicine residency at the University of Illinois/Chicago-Rockford. In addition to my medical practice, I proudly served 10 years in the U.S. Army Reserves. Since becoming an attending physician in 2000, I’ve honed my skills in both family medicine and urgent care. At Well Medical Center, PC, I focus solely on primary care, helping my patients achieve their best health through personalized, holistic care. When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me enjoying time with family and friends, often cooking up something special. I also adore my two little dogs, Rum and Nari. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey to better health.
